Description

From the meeting point you will head towards Gibraltar, a British enclave surrounded by Spanish territory. One of the most interesting places is "TheRock", a huge limestone rock that goes up to 426m above sea level and offers a fabulous view over the bay of Gibraltar and even the northern coast of Africa if the weather permits it. There are three options for the Gibraltar tour:

  1. Shopping From the time we arrive at the coach park you have +/-5 hours free time to do your shopping or to visit the city at your leisure.

  2. Rock tour Upon arrival at the coach park the guide will inform you at what time you need to be back in order to start the Rock Tour. You will get on a special minibus which will take you first to Europa Point – the most southerly point of Gibraltar from where you can see the whole Strait of Gibraltar and, weather permitting, the Moroccan Coast. Next, the minibus takes you up on the Rock to Saint Michael’s cave and there you can also see the famous Barbary apes (macaca sylvanus) – tailless monkeys that originate from North Africa. The tour takes about one hour and a half, after which you will some free time for lunch and shopping.

  3. Dolpins The Strait of Gibraltar is a great place for breeding and permanent residence for many species of marine mammals. A boat will take you on a watching trip through the highest probability areas (up to 90%) in order to be able to watch the biggest pods of dolphins (common and striped dolphins) in their natural habitat. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to sail along with the dolphins.
